In restorative yoga, props are used to support the body so that you can hold poses for longer, allowing you to open your body through passive stretching. The postures are usually adapted from supine or seated yoga poses.  Revitalize the body by increasing circulation to the organs and calming the nervous system through relaxing poses.

 

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses synchronized to the breath.  Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-likePromotes deep and even breathing. Faster paced movements to strengthen the nervous system. 

 

Hatha

 Focuses on classic postures and correct alignment in the body. Hatha is great for beginners. The Hatha practice is where all yoga is derived from and is a wonderful place for beginners to start. You will learn basic poses, relaxation techniques and terminology that you will find in almost every other style of yoga.

 

Yin

Focus on a few poses with long held postures, this will  stress  or exercise ligaments to  maintain their length and strength as well as promoting healthier joints. Yin yoga postures are done while seated on the floor so the muscles can relax. When the muscles are relaxed the ligaments are affected. Yin poses are done very gently for up to five minutes at a time or  longer.

 

Meditation

Embrace the present moment in stillness, leaving the busy mind behind. Meditation can be experience on its own or added to any yoga practice.
